Engine and Deputy Chief Run Lewisdale House Fire Print

Just after breakfast was finished PSC dispatched the box for the 2500blk ov Van Buren St for the reported house on fire with people trapped. First arriving units reported on the scene with fire showing from both sides of a duplex. Engine 73 and Chief 7A responded with 4 personnel and arrived on the scene with the engine taking their assigned position on side Charlie. Chief 7A assumed the command and started assigning the units. Engine 73 advanced the 400' pre-connect through a yard to the Delta side of the duplex. All units worked on their assigned jobs and quickly knocked the fire. The fire was brought under control in 15 minutes. Command held units for about 45 minutes before returning units to service.
