Wagon Goes to Chillum House Fire Print

On Wednesday January 7th, 2015 the crew was just sitting down for lunch when they were interrupted when PSC dropped the box at 1238hrs for the reported house fire at 1904 Oliver St, in company 44's first due. Engine 73 was dispatched as the third due engine company and responded with 5 personnel. First arriving units found smoke showing from the eaves of the duplex. Engine 73 arrived on the scene and established the secondary water supply.
 
Engine 73's crew advanced the 250' pre-connect to the exposure building per Command. Engine 73 forced entry to the exposure and started the primary search and checking for extension. Engine 73's officer, LT. Naples, was assigned the exposure group leader. Upon the arrival of the second due truck, extension was proved to be negative and the fire was brought under control within 10 minutes. Command scaled back the units to 2&2. Engine 73 cleared the scene at 1333hrs.
