At 0848 hours units from the sixth and fourth battalions were dispatched to 5925 Cherrywood Terrace for a reported fire in apartment #202 with people trapped.  Tower 7 was dispatched as the third due truck and responded with 6 personnel.  First arriving units reported heavy fire showing with people trapped and jumping from the second floor.  Once Tower 7 arrived on the scene, the driver and officer decided to place the Tower in the best position to get the full use out of the tower.

The crew from the Tower was assigned the Search Group and completed the primary search in the entire fire building and Exposure B. While the crew preformed the search, the Tower driver set up for a "Heavy Duty" attack on the rapidly advancing fire.  With the primary search being negative, the crew started opening up in the exposure building.  Two hours into the incident Command scaled back units and Tower 7 was placed in service.
