While returning from an AFA at 6200 Sheridan St, Company 13's first due, PSC dispatched the box for 6501 Baltimore Ave in the first due for a reported building fire. Engine 73 responded with 7 personnel and quickly arrived on the scene to find nothing showing from side A of the building. The crew advanced the cross lay into the building and were greeted by smoke in the second floor hallway. Entry was made into the apartment and the crew found a bedroom off. With a quick knock and an even quicker search of the apartment the fire was knocked in before some of the units even arrived on the scene. Command scaled back the assignment to Engine 73 and truck 12. Engine 73 cleared the scene at 2051hrs.
