Engine 72 was returning from the Giant in Hyattsville when the call was dispatched at 2013hrs for 5603 Kenilworth Ave, in company 13's area, for the kitchen fire in the IHOP. Engine 72 responded, with 6 personnel, and arrived on the scene as the second due engine. The crew secured a water supply for engine 94 and advanced the back up line into the building. With this being yet another small fire, the first arriving engine put a quick knock on the fire. Command scaled back the assignment to engines 94, 72, and truck 1. Engine 72 cleared the scene just before 2100hrs.
