At 1941 hrs PSC dispatched Engine 72 and surrounding companies to 5600 54th Ave for the apartment fire with people trapped.  Engine 72 and Ambulance 77 responded, with 7 personnel, and quickly arrived on the scene. As the crew prepared to enter the 6 story mid rise, people out front directed the crew to the 5500 block of 54th Avenue. The crew quickly ran down the sidewalk as the wagon driver repositioned the engine for the correct address of 5514 54th Ave.

The crew quickly pulled the crosslay and advanced to the top floor of the dual level apartment. The crew found multiple rooms off and as the line crew knocked the fire, the officer and entry man searched along with Truck 9. The fire was quickly knocked and searches were negative in the apartment. The fire was scaled back to Engine 72 and Truck 9.
