Just after 0500 hrs, PSC received calls reporting a fire in the bedroom of 4509 Banner Street in Company 55's first due. Tower 7 and Acting Chief 7B responded with 6 personnel as the second due special service.  The engine from 55 arrived on the scene with smoke showing.  Tower 7 arrived shortly thereafter and went to work. The crew assisted in laddering the house, venting, primary search, and overhaul.

Acting Chief 7B arrived and assumed the command.  Crews worked to quickly contain the fire to the room of origin.  Command scaled back the assignment to engine 55 and truck 9 placing the rest of the box in service in just over 20 minutes.  Tower 7 and Acting Chief 7B returned to service at 0600 hrs.
