With the mini snow storm that hit the region, the members of Riverdale were trying to get some rest after a night of running calls for wires down and clearing the front ramp of snow. Fate would not let them rest when at 0533hrs PSC dispatched Engine 72 as the third due engine to 5008 Pierce Ave in company 12's first due. Engine 72 arrived on the scene with 6 personnel and advanced a line from the engine from 11 to side Charlie to the basement door. Shortly after arriving there, with enough hose to do their job, command was advised that there was a hole in the floor on division 1. Command hit the evac tones and went defensive. Engine 72 worked for two and a half hours in the snow and cold before being returned to service and to the warm beds on Queensbury Rd.

While Engine 72 was busy protecting the greater Riverdale Park area, Tower 7 with 6 personnel was transferred to company 18  due to a working fire in Glenn Dale.
