| Engine 73 Runs Small Basement Fire in Hyattsville |

On Wednesday August 21st, 2013 just after 0600 Engine 73 was alerted as the third due Engine to 5604 Queens Chapel Road in Company 1's first due. There was a report of an apartment on fire at that address. First arriving crews went on scene with nothing showing. Crews forced entry, and had a electrical fire in the basement with heavy smoke conditions through out. Engine 73 arrived on scene, and established a secondary water supply. The crew advanced a 400 ft line to side Charlie while the officer gave a size up from the rear. The engine crew was then sent by command to side Alpha to check the exposure for extension. Engine 73 operated on scene for about an hour then was released by command and returned back to service.
