Saturday September 21, 2013 after a busy morning of running numerous calls, Engine 73 was alerted to 5026 Edmonston Rd for the apartment on fire in Company 9's first due. Engine Company 9 went on scene with heavy fire showing from the Bravo/Charlie side of a 2 story apartment house. Engine 73 picked up 9's supply line and advanced the 250 ft line into side Alpha to back up the 1st arriving engine. Crews encountered heavy smoke and fire conditions. All visible fire was knocked by the first arriving companies within 4 minutes of the line getting charged, and fire was contained to the original apartment. No injuries were reported and Engine 73 returned to service just under 2 hours.
