On a somewhat overcast Saturday, the members mounted up on the Tower, Engine and Ambulance to head to Town Center for the Riverdale Park Arts Fest.  This is a yearly gathering of local artisans, musicians, and artists (both performance and non-performance) to showcase their talents.  The department's participation was primarily in support of the Riverdale Park Arts Council, but were also invited to update the citizens in the status of Chief Ryan who suffered severe burns while on duty at DCFD Rescue 3. 

Along with Mayor Vernon Archer, Acting Chief Robert Cease did an onstage "interview" with WTOP's David Burd.  Chief Cease outilined the progress of Chief Ryan and the state of the department.  The mayor offered his continued support to the department, its goals, and the town's support for Chief Ryan.
