On Wednesday August 3, 2011 members from Riverdale Fire Department assisted the College Park Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol with a training class. The members helped teach the cadets about the different types or fires, fire extinguishers, and general fire safety. Assistant Chief Johns conducted the classroom portion of the class and instructed the practical portion outside with hands on extinguisher training. The cadets and senior members of the Civil Air Patrol were very grateful for the training. The Riverdale Fire Department is always willing to assist members of our community with any and all fire safety.
