Happy Halloween 2016!
Tuesday, November 01 2016 22:17

October 31st, 2016 - From the volunteers at Riverdale Volunteer Fire Department we hope everyone had a safe and Happy Halloween! As always the volunteers made it a point to hand out candy to the children of the community as well as many visitors enjoying the Halloween festivities in town! We had a great time interacting with the parents, teaching the children the importance of fire safety, demonstrating activities like what a firefighter looks like who is in full turnout gear, and as always giving tours of the firehouse to the children. We hope everyone had a chance to stop in for some candy and we hope to see more great costumes next year!

Riverdale Park Day 2016
Saturday, October 01 2016 20:33

October 1st, 2016 - Today the volunteers from Riverdale took part of the annual Riverdale Park Day. Even with the wet weather, it didn't damper another great day to share with the residents we strive to protect everyday. The volunteers were out in full force with all apparatus at the station fully staffed and in service ready to respond to any incident. This year we served food as well as interacted with the residents and visitors of Riverdale Park. We also had the honor of being commended along with the Riverdale Park Police Department, by the mayor of Riverdale Park. The mayor touched on the dedication and the superior service that our volunteers and fine officers of the police department provide day in and day out to our amazing town!
