On Tuesday July 2, 2013 at 2136hrs Engine 72 was alerted to the 3700blk of 36th St in company 55's area for the reported house fire. Engine 72, Chief 7, Chief 7A and Chief 7B all responded with a total of 12 personnel. While en route PSC advised that they had reports of people trapped. The engine from 55 arrived on the scene with fire showing from the third floor of the home. Engine 72 arrived shortly after and laid their own line in and advancing the 400' preconnect and extending it. Chief 7A arrived on the scene and established the command. Crews from the first due truck company found the trapped occupant and removed him to waiting EMS personnel. Chief 7 was assigned Division 2 and Chief 7B was at the command post. With the fire being under control in about 20 minutes command scaled back the assignment and Engine 72 returned to service in just about an hour.
